Scottish Trick Dogs

We have 3 levels of trick awards available:

Midge Award (beginners or dogs < 7 months old)
Learn all the basics of good trick training. The Midge Award if packed full of essential life skills such as settle, hand touch, 2 paws on and more. This award is suitable for dogs and handers just starting out on their training journey.

Heather Award (beginner adult dogs)
The Heather Award both progresses your Midge tricks and teaches you new skills like 'go around an object', spin and heel position.

Thistle Award (advanced)
Advanced tricks including back up, play dead, crawl and more!

Once you have completed an award, you are eligible to take part in the Tartan Trick Challenges! There are 5 challenges for each award that will help you proof your tricks in the real world.
These sessions will focus on skills such as; scent discrimination, indications, night trailing, the art of the trail layer, to name a few. Learn the skills as a team and then incorporate them into your trails.
Think of your skill up sessions as training FOR the situation rather than training directly IN the situation. Just like all dog training, learning and proofing the foundations are key to success.

Skill up sessions can be booked directly on the All Wagged Out and Cheeky Wee Rascals websites.
