Our scent work classes and workshops are a combination of theoretical and practical skills. We have three classes suitable for beginners to advanced scent work teams.

Wee Dram (beginners - odour gun oil)

Beginners scent detection class for pet dogs. No experience required. Covering all the basics including scent theory, handling skills, basic search patterns and indications.

Malt Master (intermediate - odours gun oil and truffle oil)

Improvers scent detection class for pet dogs. Must have completed the beginners class. Delving further into scent theory, advanced search patterns, proofing indications & more.

The Connoisseur (advanced - odours gun oil and truffle oil)

​Advanced scent detection class for pet dogs. Must have completed the improvers class. Scent theory, advanced searches including inaccessible hides, moving hides, and more.

 

Completion of each class means you are eligible to try your paw at our Tartan Challenges! There are 5 progressive challenges per level all building on what you have learnt in class.

We also offer a series of fun workshops, aimed at developing specific skills including; scented retrieve, people screening, water searching, truffle hunting and more.

​

Our themed scent work trials will put your skills to the test against the clock. A great way to test your team work and make new friends along the way!
